How long have you been in Business?
Founder and CEO, Andy Smigelski established Columbia Roofing, LLC in Leesburg, Virginia in 1983 has since completed over 3000 roofing projects in his 35 year career.
Do you do any other jobs other than roofing?
Yes, we'll also clean and install gutters in 5" and 6" sizes and in any color. We employ the latest in gutter engineering design and use hidden hangers instead of gutter spikes, and making all gutters match on site with a portable gutter bending machine, to seamlessly connect all gutters as one piece greatly improving performance and lifespan.
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Roofing prices widely vary depending on the materials that are needed, the size of the job, labor required, etc. For most leaks and repairs we have a flat rate pricing system. Although, sometimes a repair or leak can become a bit more extensive and require added labor or materials. Usually when given a few details on a repair or picutres, we can provide fairly approximate price estimates via email or phone.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Columbia Roofing works with an array of customers! Most of our customers are residential home owners, however, we often work for real estate agents, builders, small business owners, schools, churches, apartments/condos and commercial buildings.
Describe a recent project you completed, how long did it take?
I'm especially fond of my last project. It was on the clubhouse of a golf course in Sterling Va. I actually went to this golf course many times as a child. The owners did not have the funds for a new roof but badly needed one. 2,000 square feet of torch down roof was far past its time and in urgent need of replacement. Luckily, we were able to take the necessary steps required to obtain 3-5 more years of life out of the roof, giving the owners the necessary time needed to save for a new roof. The job took a total of 1.5 days to complete. The work performed included coating 20sq of torch down roof, seaming 100ft of epdm rubber roof, running 50ft. of drip edge, rebuilding the flashing at a large cricket, and various shingle repairs. Just after completing the work it rained for 3 days straight and the roof did not leak a drop!
